PATH, a guy, 31 years old, from Tennessee, known as IRL as Phil
I once saw Jurassic 5 at Blue Cats, a small club in Knoxville, TN, while in college. One of the highlights of my life was seeing Cut Chemist come on stage with this homemade device – a turntable strapped to his chest and mixers all down his arms. It was a life-changing experience!
Loves: Just about anything as long as it has good style and presentation. I especially like turntablism, movies and when you hear something and think, “Damn somebody put a lot of time into this”
Hates: Modern country (post 1960), R & B (and rap and bullshit), repetative beats all through a mix
Influences: In approximate order of when I first listened to them (only the stuff I can still listen to): story book records, Booker T. and the MGs, Allman Brothers, Mr. Bungle, Beastie Boys, GZA – Liquid Swords, Wu Tang, Redman, Portishead, Underworld, Fatboy Slim, Photek, DJ Greyboy, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Kid Koala, Coldcut, Solid Steel, old Breezeblocks, old school funk, Nigerian funk, late sixties psychadelic rock, Miles Davis, cinematic scores, Ennio Morricone, crazy Franch music of any genre
