I already featured one of Spinbad’s classic hiphop mixes in an earlier blog post (http://djcatnap.com/?p=28), but you gotta check out this mix. It’s easily the best 80’s mix I have ever heard – Spinbad applies his virtuoso turntablist talents to mixing, mashing, scratching, and rocking an awesome lineup of classic 80’s pop and rock n’ roll. Interspersed with hilarious snippets from 80’s movies, this mix will rock your next party and leave you laughing and rocking out at the same time. Originally recorded in 1995, this is the remastered CD-quality version that came out later. It doesn’t have as many tracks as the original tape, but sounds a lot better than the tape rips I’ve heard online.

Thanks! I’ve been looking for this forever.
But….. does anybody have the full version from the cassette? I know the sound quality wont be as good but it has 10 extra tracks at the end!

I was so tired of 80s mixes til I read this tracklist. A lot of “too popular not to include” tracks, but also some others that don’t usually make the cut.
enjoying the extra movie snippets as well.
nice one. thanks
If ya wanna dance, ya gotta pay the band…
