DboyDownUnder’s mix tapes are done in true mix tape style, taking a theme, idea or feeling and pursueing it as the listener enjoys the journey.
Generally the beats are all broken, and come from dub, jazz, hip hop and funky backgrounds.
This mix starts off fairly softly softly with a few old favourites, ensuring the listener is in the mood. It then slides it’s way into a darker jazzier corner, slowly releasing mixes as tunes interwind and flow one after the other. The mix never forgets the laidback style. Electronic beats fused with jazz style adlib, badass baselines and plenty of piano riffs. Popping out from the other side with some more rare instrumental hip hop pieces that conquer funk and leave the feeling of completion.
