one man army’s (of the impossibles)thoughts::

i was so nervous that i’d actually planned our first few tracks (something i never do) and it turned out to be a pretty random set; starting off with a track from the lion king soundtrack (no joke, we were actually challenged to pay that) we launched into a mix which included funk, house, rock, electro and even some classic 80s – we played a total of 57 tracks (possibly more but that’s all the ones i remembered). my nerves got the better of me so for the first 20 minutes i pretty much just concentrated on mixing and had my head down so imagine my surprise when i finally looked up and the place was packed with people rocking out to our mish-mash of sounds – it was the most amazing feeling. the rest of our set was a blur as we just went all out and put on one of our best shows, it was awesome to see everyone getting down to classics like walk this way and it’s a long way to the top but the pinnacle of our set was when we dropped the tetris theme over smack my bitch up. ok, the whole idea of mixing the 2 together sounds pretty chessy but oh my god, everyone just went absolutely spastic and we couldn’t help but jump around on stage – the energy in the tent was infectious!
