DJ Z-Trip & DJ P :: Uneasy Listening Volume 1

Description

Oh. My. God.

I’ve been wanting to put this up here for ages, but it was a commercial mix and I don’t like to post anything commercial here, but now Z-Trip himself has made a copy available on his site.

This is a mix everyone should have a copy of, quite possibly the best 80s inspired set out there.

Tracklist

After chatting with Z-Trip’s buddy Ryan I’ve learnt that Z’s not all that keen on tracklists so in respect of that I won’t be bothering to try and put this one together.

A Review By Pop Matters

Apparently Limited to 1000 copies, not suprising given the tracks on this album theres no way they could have licensed them! (Back Cover). No tracklisting was given, this mix is in similar style to the commercially released “Soul Wax” by 2ManyDJs who did get clearances for most of the tracks they wanted. Uneasy Listening was done solely on turntables unlike Soul Wax.

From Madonna to Metallica, Depeche Mode to Pat Benatar, Run DMC to The Pharcyde and on.. recklessly spliced, scratched and worked over with beatbox and percussion business and samples galore.
