Basement Freaks project started in 2005 by George Fotiadis a self-taught
multi-instrumentalist from Thessaloniki/Greece.
George has been around the local scene from early 90es where
he was the songwriter & guitarist of an indie rock band.
Also played with many other local bands and worked as a P.A engineer.
After many years working in the studio he finally started composing
& producing the Basement Freaks sound in 2005.

Remixing various artists like Chris Joss/Rephrase/Ed Royal
for some very well knowed labels as ESL music(U.S.A),
Knowfool Records(AUSTRALIA),Invision Records(AUSTRIA),
the Basement Freaks sound gets in the map of the global underground
Funky Breakbeat scene.

2008 entered with a new project of Basement Freaks & Kosta Kostov
the Balkan Express Sound Systema!
Where Greece meets Bulgaria and the Balkan
meets all the nice flavas from Dub & Reggae through Funk & Breaks till
Breakbeat & Drum ‘n’ Bass in the brand new project of the two DJs and
Producers George Fotiadis (Basement Freaks) and Kosta Kostov
(balkanXpress).
