Tipper :: Downtempo Mix
Description
Tipper
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tipper (real name Dave Tipper) is a British producer and DJ specialising in nu skool breaks, electronica, and trip hop.
Although mostly known in the breakbeat scene, Tipper’s output includes strong hints of electro and idm amongst other styles. He is known for his interest in extreme bass frequencies, with his releases often including lengthy subbass test tones at the end. He, and likeminded people from his label Fuel Records, have also engaged in stunts like emptying a swimming pool, covering it with an acoustic canopy and enjoying the bass, or drowning out The Prodigy on the main stage of the V Festival with their car sound systems parked several miles away.
Tipper also records under the pseudonym Crunch with Mike Wallis aka Psi Spy.

Didn’t hate the mix, but I didn’t like it, either. Very, very minimalist, if you like that sort of thing, it’s alright. Very slow beats with very little variety. If you’re here for the mixtapes, this is not for you. If you’re looking to expand the limits of your own personal eclectica, this is for you.

Well I discover Tipper by listening solidsteel mix (the one by J Moutain, DK and Boom monk ben of the year 2005 and after)
It’s true that is it not the best thing tipper have done, but I think it was a good preview of what tipper music was, and as a fan of prefuse 73, Danny Breaks, chris clark and breaks music in general, I like it.
The album Tip-Hop and the last one who just got out few weeks ago Tertiary Noise are really better than this mix for sure.
