I cannot think about breaks without these two crossing my mind, together they shaped and blew breaks up in Ontario from its death bed in the mid 90s. Facing extinction once again breaks in Ontario have vanished into the underground, but for those who dare to find them the path will always and inevitably take you to Chu & Saddler’s blackhole of breaks where time and space have no meaning and hold no boundaries. The product of a taboo experiment in Breakbeat stem cell research. Some highly illegal business, and we all know that’s the illest kind. From their earliest days in the New Orleans of Canada (London, Ontario), to the scene building Warehouse parties of the early 90’s, to their infamous residency at System Soundbar of Toronto’s past, they established a reputation as the definitive sound of Breaks in the Great White North. If you’re skeptical, all you need to know is that their legend was built through word of mouth. They distinguished themselves through an uncanny connection, sorta like Siamese Twins on the 1’s & 2’s.
