DJ DB - History of our World: Breaks and Jungle (Oct. 1995)

DJ DB - History of our World: Breaks and Jungle (Oct. 1995)

Hello all, I’ve been searching for a decent copy of this for ages, since mine had been scratched, stolen, returned, stolen again, had coke spilled on it, then the CD case was stolen, but I had the CD in my deck at home, then the disc finally went missing for good a few years ago.

If anyone has a copy of this and would be willing to share, please let me know. This is probably one of the all-time greatest EDM CDs I have ever owned. The mixing is terrible, as is DJ DB, but his selection of tracks on this particular CD is tops. Its online for upwards of $40, which I am close to breaking down and paying for, but if anyone out there has this, please let me know.

Thanks

Ryan

Re: DJ DB - History of our World: Breaks and Jungle (Oct. 1995)

SPLITZ YOU DA MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you a million times over, I’m listening to it now. thanks for saving me the headache of tracking it down, dealing with paypal, converting dollars to Euros, paying crazy shipping charges, etc. etc.

this ends a 2 year quest, now I guess I have to think of a new CD I used to love but cannot find anymore….

I have also been looking for a Jungle compilation I believe was simply titled Jungle Mix. It came in a red jewel case and the lead track was Original Nuttah. I don’t have any other info on that, but if it rings a bell, I am desperately searching for it as well. I had an extensive CD collection back in the 90s, but because of my generosity (and probably a lot of E) I was always loaning ppl my favorite CDs. anyway, I doubt we could go 2 for 2, but if this CD does ring a bell and you upped it, I’d nominate you as Time’s Man of the Year!!!!!

thanks again!!!!

Re: DJ DB - History of our World: Breaks and Jungle (Oct. 1995)

the cover art work is sort of African, I guess, with some bright colors. looks like an old cave painting. Its hard to describe although I can still see it in my mind. I’ll see if I can’t find it.

I know leading off with Original Nuttah isn’t much help since that anthem probably appeared on 2 out of every 3 jungle compilations!!!!

the main thing is that it says Jungle Mix real big. I was training my sister yesterday when I secretly started the History CD and she freaked out. I still have probably tracks 10-20 on a raggedy cassette tape that I’ve been carefully preserving since ’97 or ’98. I might still keep it as a reminder of the lengths we go to to save the music we love!!!!

thanks again man, that was topps
